Another day in the life

Baking some homemade banana bread! The batter tasted yummy. Maybe I CAN cook. Went hiking and then to a winery today. Got to eat fro-yo, talk to my best friend who’s living on another continent, and go for a swim.  I am grateful for all these things. Tomorrow will be a busy day. I am definitely a capricorn after reading about capricorn characteristics and strengths and weaknesses. My body has been cracking a lot, I’m guessing its from yoga. Gonna try bikram yoga for the first time on sunday!

Trip of a lifetime come September. Feel mildly sick to my stomach with nerves/excitement. One of those things in life you just gotta do because if you don’t, you’ll regret for the rest of your life that you didn’t take the chance to do it.

Oh no Here comes that sun again That means another day Without you my friend

Scrambled eggs with cheese and green beans… Coffee and an orange. Listening to Norah Jones… Yesterday I went on a run and it is really starting to feel like a Virginia summer (hot and sticky). Then Dana and I drank some blue moon with oranges. YUMMM. Went to a Yankees vs. Orioles game in Baltimore with my Dad and Nick last night. The Yankees lost but it was still fun to drink too much beer and eat way too much fried food, and to see Derek Jeter of course. I feel like every summer is so different. I hope this one is a good one though. Well, I’m at least going to try and make it a good one and enjoy every moment and experience of it as much as I can. Need to do some yoga today. Also need to start seriously planning my Ghana/Eurotrip in September. After Nick leaves. Cheers to another sunny day of life!

Running Motivation

“The real purpose of running isn’t to win a race; it’s to test the limits of the human heart.”
- Bill Bowerman

“Love yourself, for who and what you are; protect your dream and develop your talent to the fullest extent.”
-Joan Benoit Samuelson

If running has taught me anything about life, it’s that some days you may feel like giving up and that you’ve given everything you can. But it’s not true. You always have more to give than you think you can, and the best lesson I have taken away from running is that the only person who has the power to break me is myself. And that is actually a pretty empowering thought.

Thought of the day.

There is no better time than right now to be happy.
